COMING OUT OF COLLEGE? – Here are 5 tips to find a job faster than others

You’ve graduated from college. Now what? How are you going to find a job? That’s exactly why we’re here for you. One thing we’re sure of – you are going to be successful, but here are 5 important tips that you’re missing, which would enable you to find a job faster than others –

Find off-campus placements:

Yes, off-campus drives, that’s right! We strongly recommend this. The internet is your best tool. There are specific job portals that can help you find off-campus placements that are held by various MNCs so that you can get an experience of how everything works. If you’re talented enough, you’re surely going to end up getting placed without a doubt. If you need help with finding drives and recruitments, Freshersworld is your destination to be!

Doing projects at a company > Doing projects in your college:

Most of your engineering final year subjects are going to be limited to 3 so that you can find enough time to work on projects at your college. But we want you to find an internship and do a project based on the subject that you want to do in the future. This is because most recruiters look for candidates who have real-time knowledge than subject knowledge.

Stop believing in influence and come to reality:

Nobody is going to be your superman. There are a lot of people who assure you that they will find you a job once you finish graduation. This can be your friends, relatives or even acquaintances. Snap out of it. That’s not going to happen. If you need to find a job, you need to work for it and you need to sort your own game out, not someone else. Nobody is going to save you, as simple as that.

Attend all Company interviews during your college campus placement season:

Waiting for the right company to come and pick you is a myth. Attend every single interview that you find during campus placements. This gives you a perfect opportunity to find what you really like in a company and get placed. And if you don’t get the job, you will have a good amount of knowledge, confidence, and experience attending interviews, which is especially important for a student coming out of college these days.

Please Note: This point is not applicable to colleges that do not allow students to apply for other jobs after the student got placed in a specific company.

Use of Social Media:

Linkedin. Facebook. Telegram. Instagram. Use Linkedin to create your professional profile so that recruiters can find you. Use Facebook and Instagram to follow daily updates on various private and government jobs that come to your area. Follow Telegram Channels that give you daily job post updates and the best part is, you can check all of these out with a simple click. Use the internet wisely.

We wish you the very best for your future endeavors!
