CA Event @ G Pulla Reddy College, Kurnool, AP- for Mindbend ’10,

The FW team at GPREC, Kurnool

I returned exhausted from the trip to Chennai and immediately had to pack my bags for Kurnool. I could not say “No” to Vamsi, an exceptional Campus Ambassador from Kurnool. Looking back today at wonderful day I had in Kurnool, It would have been sacrilege if I woudnt have gone there!

I reached Kurnool early morning at around 4 AM and was picked up at the bus stand by Vamsi. Vamsi took me to a hotel where I took rest. After breakfast, Yashwanth took me to the college and lo behold, the team at GPREC had arranged the most wonderful welcome ever, an FW Rangoli.

I was then taken to the conference room for the inaugural ceremony. I was astounded at the demeanor of the Director, Principal, Placement Officer and other faculty members of the college who were equally excited about the event and supported the students in every way possible.

After the inaugural, it was time for the paper presentation competitions to start. Vamsi took me around all the 5 venues where the presentations were happening. I was extremely overjoyed seeing the prepration that has gone into creating the papers and the confidence with which the delivery was done. Vamsi and his team had also invited Profs from nearby colleges who presided over as judges.

Lunch was served for all the guests together and I interacted with the Director, Principal and other Faculty members then.

Poster presentation was the next event and again, I was overwhelmed seeing the effort of the students.

I then did a brief 1 hour presentation on Corporate Expectations and the valedictory session followed. Prizes in the form of FW Certificates, cash, etc was given and there was something for the volunteers too.

We then headed back to the city of Kurnool and I had a wonderful time dining with the organizing committee. We went to Maurya, ordered a lot of stuff and pulled each others leg. Vamsi and Yeshwanth then dropped me at the Kurnool Railway station.

Vamsi and his team has actually raised the bar now. One of the most well organised, faculty coordinated, mega scale FW event I have been to!

I thank Vamsi and his team for doing a wonderful job. I am awaiting a detailed blog from their end.
