Seminar at Bengal Engineering & Science University, Kolkata : CA Program
I arrived at BESU after the CA meeting. I was received by the CA at BESU, Somnath Rana. For the uninitiated, BESU is one of the top colleges of the country established in the year 1853. It has old buildings and I suddenly remembered by alma mater, REC Surat. After dinner, we took a walk in the beautiful campus and students showed their various labs, hostels, lakes, playgrounds, etc.
In the morning the next day, I was joined by Arunabha and Samir. We discussed in length about the CA programme. Samir submitted a bug report of the site and we constantly brainstormed on how to make the CA initiative a success.
Somnath took us to his Dept to meet Prof CK Chanda, the head of the Electrical Engineering Society. I found Dr Chanda to be an extremely polite and learned individual who cared for the students. Dr Chanda told me about some of the fears the students faced during interviews and also took me to meet the head of Training & Placement. My interaction with the Faculty members was live example for Arunabha and Samir on how to meet Faculty members if you are a Freshersworld.com person. A Freshersworld.com person exudes confidence as we believe in our products that have brought about change.
After some tea and snacks with the Prof, we came back to the Guest House. The presentation began at around 3 30 PM and went on till 5 30 PM. The number of students who turned up were less in number. However, those who camae certainly had a great time. Dr Chanda gave the Vote of Thanks which is enough appreciation for me and he has also sent me an email saying that he thoroughly enjoyed my presentation.
Arunabha (pocket size powerhouse, one of the best CAs, Bengal state debating champ ) also spoke powerfully on stage about Freshersworld.com and what initiatives he has taken. It seems that he spoke continuously for 6 hours in his college about Freshersworld.com
We then went out for some snacks and tea, rested for some more time and took a taxi for the Railway station. I am extremely thankful to Somnath & his men, Samir and Arunabha for making my stay in Bengal comfortable and enjoyable. They also gifted me with a belt and a tie. Its worthy to mention that they accompanied me to the station and Samir stayed with me in my compartment till the train started to move. CAs everywhere rock! Thanks guys!
